Components of an Adapter Kit and Their Function

• A complete set consists of perfectly matched individual parts that establish the force connection between the hydraulic tool and the bolted joint:
• Thread Bushing (Changeover Bushing): This is screwed onto the protruding thread of the bolt and directly transmits the axial tensile force of the cylinder to the bolt.
• Support (Bridge / Gear): It safely transfers the reaction force of the cylinder to the component to be tensioned and simultaneously provides space to turn the original nut of the bolted joint.
• Turning Sleeve (Socket): It encloses the nut of the bolted joint so that it can be turned freely of torsional forces under load during the axial tensioning process.
• Tommy Bar / Turning Pin: Tool for manually turning the nut through the recesses of the support.
