Single-acting hollow plunger cylinders

The Yale® YCS series hollow piston cylinders are professional hydraulic cylinders for industrial pulling, tensioning, pressing, and extracting operations requiring high forces. Thanks to their large continuous central bore, the cylinders are ideal for applications with threaded spindles, tie rods, or hydraulic pulling devices. The YCS series is used in mechanical engineering, steel construction, plant construction, heavy industry, as well as in maintenance and repair, among others.

The hollow piston cylinders are single-acting with spring return and are designed for a maximum operating pressure of 700 bar. Depending on the model, the series covers compressive forces from approx. 12 to 93 t, as well as various stroke options. This makes the series suitable for both compact assembly work and heavy industrial applications with high tensile forces.

The housing and piston are made of high-quality tempered chrome-molybdenum steel in Yale® ChroMo-Design. The hard chrome-plated piston rod with double bronze guiding ensures a long service life and reliable operation even under demanding conditions. The large central bore enables controlled pre-tensioning of tie rods, as well as the insertion and extraction of bearings, shafts, bolts, sleeves, and axles.

All models feature metric mounting threads, a fully loadable piston end stop, internal and external dirt wipers, and a 3/8" NPT hydraulic port including a coupling socket. The Yale® YCS hollow piston cylinders are fully compatible with commercially available 700 bar hydraulic systems.
